Many of the records in this collection were originally deposited at the Bodleian Library by the vicar of Cowley in 1978 and 1983. Other material was deposited as Acc 216 in January 1953 and Acc 1574 in October 1978 and originally catalogued as Misc.Cowley. Further deposits were made at Oxfordshire History Centre as Acc 6130 in September and October 2012, Acc 6171 in May 2013, Acc 6293 in July 2014, Acc 6321 in Septeber 2014 and Acc 6399 in September 2015.
