Scope and Content

Correspondence; rules; bank books and other financial papers; lists of officers and committee members; and material relating to auditions, concerts, tours, jazz musicians and bands, and the Inter-University Jazz Federation. There is also an account book detailing income and expenditure, 1971-1977.

Administrative / Biographical History

Cambridge University Jazz Club was a student body formed with the intention 'to further the appreciation of jazz, and to give amateur musicians the opportunity to play together in public' (from the club rules). The society held weekly meetings and organised concerts.
