Administrative / Biographical History
Jonathan Michie had premises at 35 Craven Street, Strand. He was a member of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacture and Commerce from 1786 until 1791. Michie formed a partnership with his brother John Michie (1720-1788), a director of the East India Company. After John Michie's death, Jonathan Michie had sole responsibility for the wine business.
