Scope and Content

The Jersey Tourism collection includes promotional and advertising material, posters, slides and brochures. The collection also includes lists of hotels and guest houses in the Island and accommodation files.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Jersey Tourism Committee was established in 1937 to support the growth in visitors to the Island. After the Second World War, during which Jersey was occupied, the Island entered a period of significant growth in tourism from the 1950s - 1980s when Jersey was known as The Honeymoon Island.
