  • Notes on surgery taken by David Emery in the lectures of Dr John Burns 1838
  • Cases taken from the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, 1831-1832, includes alphabetical index of patients, with diseases and results and miscellaneous notes on chemistry at end.

Administrative / Biographical History

David Emery originated from Ayr, South Ayrshire, Scotland. It appears that around 1838  he attended the classes of Dr John Burns  (1774-1850), Regius Professor of Surgery at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, from 1815-1850. Prior to this, David had already been making case notes at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
