Arrangement

The papers were evidently sorted by Professor Hyde into individual folders to correspond, to some degree, to the chapters of his proposed biography of Mr Roebuck. This 'order' has been retained for listing.

Custodial History

The papers were purchased by the University in May 1951 from Mrs Gladys Falconer of Richmond, Surrey. They were retained by Professor Hyde until their deposit with the University Archives in 1992
