Titled 'Charles Cockrill His Book. July 25. 1818'. Cockrill, who has not been identified, was possibly a parish clerk responsible for leading singing in church. Includes approximately forty tunes arranged under 'common', 'long', 'short', and 'peculiar' metres, tunes names, with index at front of book.
