1. Mary Evans of Swansea, Glamorgan, widow; 2. The Great Western Railway Company. Duplicate Assignment of leasehold premises at Landore, Glamorgan Also by an earlier indenture dated 9 September 1857 between 1. John Forbes Calland, Augustus Percival Calland and Robert Denby Woodifield and 2. The said John Forbes Calland and Augustus Percival Calland and Frederick Calland; 3. The said John Forbes Calland as the eldest son and heir at law of Charles George Calland, esquire deceased; 4. John Evans of Landore in the Parish of Llangyfelach, Glamorgan Iron Founder; That piece or parcel of ground situate at Landore aforesaid being part of certain lands called Copper House Lands measuring one acre by eighteen perches. The said piece or parcel of ground together with full power to erect and build Iron Factories messuages or dwelling- houses with suitable convenients thereto on the said piece or parcel of ground and together also with all ways, lights easements appurtenances whatsoever to the said premises belonging (except and always reserved) out of the now slating demise and all manner of mines veins and seams of coal, culm and clay and all quarries of stone and slate and all other minies and minerals whatsoever lying and being in upon or under the said, thereby demised premises or any par thereof with full powers of working, raising, landing, stacking, heaping and carrying away the same and any other adjoining or adjacent mines minerals and quarries and of doing all other necessary acts in relation thereto and also for making and using to any purpose any railways or tramroads or other roads and erecting buildings and exercising any other reasonable liberties authorities doing as little damage as might be to the said thereby demised premises and making to the said John Evans his heirs executors administrators or assigns reasonable compensation for any damages to be sustained by him or them by reason of the exercise of the powers therefore excepted and reserved was demised unto to the said John Evans his heirs execution administration and assigns from the date now reciting Indenture for the natural lives of William Evans, their two years or thereabouts son of the said John Evans, Diana Matilda Monger then aged two years or thereabouts, daughter of William Monger of Harwood Terrace, Agent and Meredith Evans then aged eleven years or thereabouts son of Benjamin Evans of Morriston in the said Parish of Llangyfelach Moulder or 63 years next after the date of the now reciting Indenture then for the term of 63 years to be computed from the day of the date of the now reciting Indenture at the yearly rent of £40 clear of all taxes whatsoever payable as therein mentioned and subject to the lessees covenants therein contained. 22 December, 1879
