George Nicholls of Ditchleys in the County of Essex, esquire and Thomas Popkin late of Forest in the Parish of Llansamlet, Glamorgan but now of Kettle Hill near Swanzey in the said County of Glamorgan, esquire of the one part and 2. Paul Methuen of Corsham in the County of Wiltshire, esquire of the other part; Lease for a year of capital messuage and tenement of freehold lands with the appurtenances commonly called Forest Ycha situate lying and being in the Parish of Llansamlett aforesaid in the County aforesaid together with the Forge thereon erected or built and all other messuages and tenements of lands with the appurtenances called Ynistirtanglwyst in the Parish of Llansamlett aforesaid in the County aforesaid together with all houses, outhouses, gardens, orchards, meadows, pastures, woods, underwoods, ways, watercourses, lands and heritament thereunto at a peppercorn rent. 1 March 1768
