Administrative / Biographical History

Monknash is an ancient parish within the western division of the rural deanery of Groneath Lower in the diocese of Llandaff. It is situated close to the sea, seven miles from Bridgend in the hundred of Ogmore. Its parish church is dedicated to St Mary and was partially restored in 1888-1889.
