'Bodleian Series of Miscellaneous Facsimiles'

Scope and Content

The facsimiles are from various sources: clippings from printed books, prospectuses and sale-catalogues, as well as original reproductions from manuscripts in the Bodleian, Oxford College Libraries, and in other institutional or private libraries. The collection includes facsimiles of Latin, English, Greek and French manuscripts.

Administrative / Biographical History

The collection reached its final form of arrangement by subject in 1921, but includes material accumulated or worked on, both earlier and later, by E.W.B. Nicholson, F. Madan, H.H.E. Craster and E. Lobel.

Entry to read in the Library is permitted only on presentation of a valid reader's card (for admissions procedures see http://www.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/specialcollections).
