LETTER: J. Evans to W. H. Owen, Plas Penrhyn informing him that the Bill is to have its second reading in the House of Commons today. He points out the advantages of a direct line from Gaerwen to Caernarvon which will bring Anglesey into easy reach of the markets of Caernarvon, Llanberis, Nantle and Penygroes. The London Promoters of the railway have incurred expenses of £1000 - 1500 and he requests that W. H. O. should pay the amount of his guarantee - i.e. £50 within 14 days. He informs him that in accordance with a resolution dated 9th November 1883 he will receive £100 shares in the company in return for his guarantee.
