Beryl Hoare photograph album collection

Scope and Content

This collection consists of three hardbound photograph albums collected by Beryl Hoare. They contain production photographs for several London productions dating from 1914 to 1923. Also included are photographic portraits of various performers, some of which are autographed.

Administrative / Biographical History

Sheila O'Bryen, who adopted the stage name Beryl Hoare is known to have appeared as Alice in an RSC production of Henry V at the Stratford Shakespeare Memorial Theatre in 1914 as well as having appeared as a fairy in Harley Granville-Barker's 1914 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream at London's Savoy Theatre.
