William Jones was a Charlbury weaver who was born in 1761 and died in 1838. He kept a diary, covering fifteen volumes for the years 1784 to 1838, that sheds light on Quakerism and Charlbury life. The original manuscripts are held at Friends' House Library, Euston Road, London.
