In the letter she refers to going to St Andrews in Oct for the preliminary examination in arts and in Nov she did go there to matriculate as the preliminary step to a degree. Thanks him and his wife for their kindness to her while she was in Edinburgh; re-iterates her determination not to quit the question of legal recognition in England by going abroad for education and diploma.
