Administrative / Biographical History

The licensed premises called the Alhambra Bar , 227 Leith Walk, Edinburgh, Scotland , were leased from G Mackay & Co Ltd , brewers, Edinburgh, sometime after 1910  by Alex Milligan . He had previously leased the Cross Keys Inn at Slateford, Edinburgh . He had received training in bar management at a public house in Portobello Road, Edinburgh owned by Mr Adams. Mr Milligan operated the Alhambra Bar for around 50 years.
