From J. B. Walker to H. Ling Roth concerning the skull size of the Aboriginal Tasmanians. Thanks Roth for his guidance on how should measure the 18 skulls in the Tasmanian Museum. Walker believes that Dr Crowther sent another Tasmanian skeleton along with the skull of "King Billy" to the Royal College of Surgeons [William Lanne (c.1835-1869) was an Aboriginal Tasmanian, sometimes referred to as "King Billy". William Crowther (1817-1885) was a surgeon who covertly removed Lanne's head from his corpse and sent it to the Royal College of Surgeons in London]. Walker says his father's journals contain much interesting material on the aborigines at Flinders islands which has not been published, and he will send transcripts.
