Scope and Content

The manuscript contains a selection of political and amatory pieces, many in verse, by Thomas Walker as well as by Cavalier poets and other seventeenth-century writers. There are also satires, anagrams and Select verses collected out of the Holy Scripture for the help of meditation and devotion.

The manuscript is available for consultation by any accredited reader.

Purchased by the John Rylands Library from the bookseller Bernard Halliday in February 1930.
