Conditions Governing Access
When ordering documents researchers will need the whole reference number. This is found in the left hand column of the list and is always prefixed by MSS. The number will be needed when filling out the document requisition slip in the searchroom.
The archive has been catalogued down to file level. The catalogue is available in paper format in the Centre's searchroom and on-line.
The volume of minutes of Beeston Trades and Labour Council was deposited on indefinite loan in the Centre by Mr Norman Smith of Beeston, son of the Trades and Labour Council secretary from 1904, Mr Herbert Smith. It was passed to the Centre on the 10th September 1976 through the good offices of Mr George Hodgkinson, a member of the Centre's advisory board and relative by marriage of Mr Smith.
There are unlikely to be any accruals to this collection.
