Manuscript notes; brief summaries of letters sent by Gertrude, probably to her mother, while she was in Russia between September 1916 and May 1917. These notes were possibly made by Gertrude later when she returned to Canada. They briefly describe Gertrude's time in Russia, especially her accommodation and food, her meeting with Geoffrey in Kiev and the celebration of Russian Easter.
