Application form and letters from Geoffrey Jefferson to G.F. Rowbotham. Rowbotham was Jefferson's first assistant at MRI from 1933 until circa 1939 when Rowbotham was appointed consultant at Newcastle. They remained good friends and corresponded until Jefferson's death. The letters relate to day-to-day business at MRI while Rowbotham was assistant to Jefferson, Rowbotham's research, neurosurgical appointments at Newcastle and personal matters. There is also a typescript application form from 1933. Letters from Rowbotham to Jefferson appear in the main correspondence series.
