Scope and Content

Letters covers various topics including Joan's poetry and exhibitions: discussion of the writing process, recommendations to send her poems to the Hartleys, on collecting Blacks Colour Books, on Philip Larkin selecting her poems to print, poems he has passed to David Cecil, and the Salisbury Festival of Art Exhibition. In one letter Betjeman writes that he hope to see her at his cottage again soon.
