Administrative / Biographical History

Scott of the Antarctic was produced by Michael Balcon, directed by Charles Frend with a score by Ralph Vaughn Williams. The film covers the British Antarctic Expedition, 1910-1913 (leader Robert Falcon Scott). Released in 1948 it stars John Mills as Scott with Derek Bond as Oates, Harold Warrender as Wilson, James Robertson Justice as Evans, Reginald Beckworth as Bowers and Diana Churchill as Kathleen Scott.
