Joan Sutherland

Scope and Content

Joan Sutherland and her husband, the conductor Richard Bonynge, were good friends with Norma Procter. Sutherland and Procter sang together on many occasions.

These items were removed from a vinyl record from Joan Sutherland; a Lucia Di Lammermoor vinyl, with Renato Cioni, Robert Merrill, Cesare Siepi, and John Pritchard conducting the orchestra and chorus of L'Academia di Santa Cecilia, Rome. The vinyl is inscribed by Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge.

Some of the correspondence was in an envelope which had been annotated by Procter 'Joan Sutherland Thanksgiving Service 11 Feb 2011, my 83rd birthday'.
