Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The National Army Museum was established in one of the old riding schools at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1960, and moved to a new museum building in Chelsea, London in 1971. The Museum retained an outstation at Sandhurst, and later in 2006 acquired a storage facility in Stevenage, Hertfordshire to accommodate larger items from the collections, as well as items vacated from Sandhurst.
