Scope and Content

'La Beatitude des Chretiens', transcript, 12 folios: (p. i) title-page; (p. iii) note on the history of the copy from which the transcript was made, which was the only extant copy of the original edition, and had been in the library of Victor Marie Marchal&Duc d'Estres (d. 1737) before it was sold in 1740 by Boudot&Gunin, booksellers of Paris; (p. 1) text; (p. 15) further notes on the copy from which the transcript was made, and upon the author.

The work is bound with a copy of L.V. Vougny, Le Ciel rform, a translation of Giordano Bruno, Spaccio del la Bestia trionfante, (? Paris, 1750), on the title-page of which is the stamp of Mark Pattison, Rector of Lincoln College, Oxford (d. 1884).
