A National School was begun in Deddington in 1814, with a girls' school opening the following year. A new school was built in 1853 and opened in 1854. A separate Infants section was established around 1875 and moved into the former girls' school in 1908 because of overcrowding. Please see S86/1 and PAR86/14/1 for other records of this school.
