Arctic Mobile Caisson Model: Gulf Canada (later Gulf Oil). Correspondence, test data, reports including report on Issungnak Island sand (being considered as potential borrow material for construction of the caisson in question), plans, notes and jottings, photograph, sketches, graphs and plots, instrumentation readings, and calculations, relating to proposed deep caisson design, and geotechnical centrifuge modelling at the University of Manchester, including proposed contract between the University and Gulf Canada Resources Inc. (signed by the latter only) for the centrifuge testing. Also published material and various articles on sandisle structures (Golder Associates), Arctic caisson performance, including some written by Rowe himself, newspaper article relating to Beaufort Sea new oil discovery, November 1981. Includes references to Nigel Skermer, former student of Rowe, and to Beaufort Sea Island Evaluation to be discussed at a geotechnical meeting, May 1982.
