Manuscript drafts (2) by Millicent Garrett Fawcett of a letter to John Murray. Note at the top: 'I wrote this I think on April 25th, together with a personal letter to Mr Murray'. Writing to protest about an anecdote published in the current edition of the Quarterly [Review], in an article by Mr JG Morgan, about Henry Fawcett and his publisher. She is convinced the story is 'pure fable, and is certainly injurious to both men concerned'. She says that her husband was on the most friendly terms with his publisher and they certainly never spoke to each other in the way recounted in the published article
