Manuscript note on a card, with envelope. Written from 2 Gower Street. Dated 31 Dec 1920. Thanks Mrs Cobden Unwin for the introduction to her friends Mr and Mrs de Silva in Ceylon. Says she is 'delighted to hear that the Legislative Council has accepted the principle of WS [women's suffrage]. Says that the difference made by women's suffrage is 'immense, not in our own country only but all over the world. She has a copy of the report of the recent Commission in Ceylon and will 'read it carefully on our voyage from Tilbury to Colombo' [MGF and her sister Agnes went to Ceylon in early 1929].
