Scope and Content

From B[ooth] Grey (1783-1850) to Lady Sophia Grey (1777-1849) ("my dear Soppy"). He sends her a picture and refers to his coach journey.

[Booth Grey, son of Hon Booth Grey (1740-1802), married his cousin Lady Sophia Grey, daughter of the 5th Earl of Stamford, in 1809.]

Addressed: "To | Lady Sophia Grey | Enville".

Dated at: Eton College.

Dating: Booth Grey attended Eton from 1796 to 1800.

Received from Dunham Massey Hall on 29 June 1990; provenance: 6th drawer down on left labelled "Old family letters - Grey", cupboard F315 in Chintz Drawing Room.
