Scope and Content

Letter from Rev R[ichard] Cragg to Rev J[ohn] Foster (/1), dated 4 June 1822. Asks J.F. to join in a petition to Lord Harborough concerning the repair of a road that Harborough diverted in Wymondham [co. Leics]. Also asks J.F. to solicit Lord Stamford's support for R.C.'s application to the Lord Chancellor for the living of Coston [co. Leics].

Also a letter from Rev John Foster to Lord Stamford (/2), dated 10 June. Encloses the above letter from his curate. He leaves it to Lord Stamford to decide what steps he should take.

Also a draft letter from Lord Stamford to [John Scott, 1st Earl of Eldon] Lord Chancellor (/3), dated 19 June. Recommends Rev Richard Cragg to the living of Coston co. Leics.
