Scope and Content

From [John Jackson esq] to George Harry Grey (1737-1819), 5th Earl of Stamford. J.J. has returned to Mr Bray the draft releases from Lord Stamford as heir at law of John Grey (d 1777), and from Lord Stamford and Mr B[ooth] Grey as executors of the will of Mrs D[orothy] Wrighte. The judgements outstanding against John Grey's estate appear at first sight very large, but most were to secure annuities out of his salary, which have now determined, and only £128 remains due on them. Considers preferential rights of other creditors.

Amendments in Jackson's own hand.
