Scope and Content

From George Booth to Lord Malpas at his house at Albermarle Street London. G.B. denies that he has such interest as Malpas claims: he has "never had any publick mark of favour, nor even obtain'd for others soe little as a place of £60 per annum from the Ministry". G.B. is not yet engaged for any candidate, and has no intention of recommending one, being only a private inhabitant of the county. He has "no desire to be thought considerable, especially since the late fatal turns in my Family have been more than enough to quel any such Ambition".
