Scope and Content

William Grey carefully preserved the texts of his sermons. They include sermons preached on particular Sundays and feast days, sermons on topics such as devotion and charity, and sermons that take passages of Scripture as their theme. The sermons appear to have been arranged into bundles in the twentieth century by Penelope Countess of Stamford, and each bundle is contained within a wrapper labelled by Lady Stamford.

Dating: very many sheets are watermarked "1858".
