The book contains the names and full addresses of rack-rent tenants in the townships of Altrincham, Bowdon, Bollington, Carrington and Dunham Massey. Within each township tenants are listed alphabetically. Lessees of shooting rights and wayleaves are also listed. There are numerous later additions and amendments.
Entitled "CHESHIRE ESTATES | RACK RENT | ADDRESS LIST", typewritten on a paper label pasted to the upper cover.
Dating: the item is undated but comparison with the names in the rack-rent ledgers (EGR14/29 above) suggests that the book was first compiled in c.1922 and continued to be updated until c.1930; the address book was made in a reused volume of much earlier date, either late eighteenth or early nineteenth century, perhaps a rental or court book.
