Parties: 1) Sir George Boothe of Dunham Massey (1566-1652)

2) Sir John Egerton, and Arthur Mainwaringe of City of London esq

Property: Ashton Hall with appurtenances in Ashton under Lyne co. Lancs, and lands in Ashton under Lyne and Oldham co. Lancs in the tenure of Dame Elizabeth Boothe widow, mother of (1), and lands in Ashton under Lyne and Audenshaw [pa. Ashton under Lyne] in the tenure of Richard Lees and Robert Soundiforth.

Conveyance made in consideration of the marriage of William Booth (d 1636), son and heir apparent of (1), and Vere [Egerton], and for augmenting the yearly profits of Vere's jointure. (2) are to hold in trust for William Booth for life, thereafter in trust for Vere.

Term: 60 years.
