Scope and Content

Parties: 1) Rt Hon George [Booth (1622-84), 1st] Lord Delamer

2) John Edmunds of Dunham Massey gent, servant of (1)

3) John Haughton of Baguley gent

4) Hon Vere Booth daughter of (1) by Lady Katherine his former wife

Property: the manor of Bollin [Fee], the capital messuage called Bollin Hall and the Lodge, and all demesne belonging thereto in Wilmslow parish; also a capital messuage called Pownall and the related demesne in Wilmslow parish.

(1) conveys the above property to (2) to make a tenant to the precipe so that (3) may recover the same from (2). (3) is to stand seised to the use of (4) in trust for 99 years, thereafter to the use of (1) for life, then to the uses specified in the last will of (1), remainder to the use of (1) and his heirs for ever.

(4) is to hold in trust to allow (1) peaceful occupation and all issues until (4) marries, and for 1 year thereafter to secure the payment of a £2000 marriage portion by (1). (4) is to surrender the property upon payment.
