George Harry Grey (1737-1819), 5th Earl of Stamford, served on the Commission of the Peace in Cheshire. The few items relating to the Commission are: a search warrant (EGR4/1/3/1), a return of the overseers of Dunham Massey to questions on poor relief (EGR4/1/3/2), summonses, orders and statements of evidence relating to offences connected with highways (EGR4/1/3/3-9), and forms of the special constables' oath (EGR4/1/3/10).
