      Dimensions: c.270 x 33 cm. 1 parchment roll, 4 membranes sewn together Chancery-wise; membrane 1: sections 1-2; membrane 2: section 3 (as far as payments for John Booth's preferment); membrane 3: section 3 (from payments for John Booth's preferment) and sections 4-5; membrane 4: section 6. Condition: severely affected by damp and mould, which has attacked parchment and caused ink to lift off in many areas.

Scope and Content

Apart from the normal variations in spelling, the text is identical to the original text of EGR3/3/3/2 above, but with the omission of section 8 & 9, which were later additions to EGR3/3/3/2. In section 3 the totals of portions paid out of Ashton under Lyne and Thornton le Moors are £3,346 15s 10d and £4,935 13s 9d respectively, as opposed to the amended figures given in EGR3/3/3/2. After the witness list is the statement, "I desire my Gransonne would be carefull to advance this estate as I have donne", followed by the signature "G. Booth".

The roll is dated 12 June 1648, whereas EGR3/3/3/2 is dated 24 April 1648.
