Letter from Percy Macquoid to Lord Stamford. Discusses the design of chandeliers [for the Saloon]. "I would suggest that in the large chandelier the candle branches should also be lighted with candles in electric light & on a different switch... you need not use them except in a large party or any time when you want more light." He is returning the chandelier for Lord Stamford to look at the glass horns, "for you will see the grace of the lines of drops is dependant on these horns". Suggests that the outside candles in the large chandelier should have shades of pale yellow silk (sketch provided).
