Scope and Content

Draft letter from Lord Stamford to [Devereux Jones] Nicholls. Instructs him to tell the parish meeting that the tithe of agistment is wholly new in the parish, and that it would be advisable not to pay the tithe until the vicar's right to it is clearly ascertained.

Dated at: Enville.

Endorsed: "Tithe of | Agistment" in the hand of the 5th Earl of Stamford.
