Papers on the Retreat archives and books

Scope and Content

These papers were created by H. C. Hunt. They include a typescript ‘Record Office Report’, which was a follow up report to the Retreat Committee on the cataloguing of the Retreat archive, noting the most important archives, and with later annotations of reference codes, c 1930s; a detailed draft report by Hunt written during his last year as Retreat curator and librarian, describing how he had found the Retreat books and archives and reviewing and describing his work arranging them, 25 June 1935; and notes on various Retreat records and their whereabouts at the Retreat, 1930s.
