Scope and Content

Correspondence and related papers concerning installation of television aerials at New Earswick, including discussion of effect of outdoor aerials on the appearance of the village, extensive correspondence with Aerialite Ltd of Stalybridge who conducted tests of signal strength in the village to determine whether indoor aerials would be sufficient for most houses, and discussion with other housing associations and in the press regarding indoor versus outdoor aerials, 23 August 1950 - 11 November 1965.
