The Bull of Shapwick papers cover a wide variety of subjects, from family illness and business to the English Civil War and laws passed by Parliament.

These papers are the correspondence of the Bull family of Shapwick, Somerset, covering much of the mid-late 17th Century.

Arrangement

The letters are arranged by sender (for example, those of Colonel Martin Pyndar are grouped together) and chronologically as far as possible within those groupings.

Acquisition Information

The Bull papers were purchased by Special Collections in 1950.
