Letter from C H S Fifoot

Scope and Content

Discussing the proposed publication of the Maitland-Neilson correspondence by the University of Glasgow, advising against the inclusion of any of the other recently discovered Maitland correspondence in the proposed publication; explaining how the letters from Maitland to J Redlich were discovered in Vienna; and informing Professor Stones that the 'Selden Society' got its name because Sir Frederick Polock preferred Selden to Madox which had been suggested by Maitland.
