Administrative / Biographical History
The Danum Social and Literary Society began in 1882 in Hall Cross House. According to this pamphlet, `it was decided that the Society should be so constituted as to represent the universities and the various learned professions, to enable men of kindred tastes to exchange ideas and enjoy congenial intercourse'.
