Correspondence of David Nichol Smith as general editor of volumes 1-6 of The Percy letters (New Haven & London, 1944-61), consisting of letters from Cleanth Brooks, co-general editor, 1932-49, and letters from editors of individual volumes in the series, 1935-60.

David Nichol Smith (1875-1962) was a literary scholar and Merton Professor of English Literature at Oxford. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.
