Administrative / Biographical History

Thomas Harry, the writer of the letter, was the son of David Harry of Tranch, near Laleston, Bridgend. He lived briefly in Mountain Ash before emigrating to Patagonia about 1865. By the date of the letter he was farming 200 acres in 'Chupat Colony', Buenos Ayres. The document appears to be a copy of the original letter, made at a later date.
