Correspondence: Watkin Williams (Penbedw) to Lady Williams Wynn (Taplow)

Scope and Content

concerning documents taken from the Stone Temple at Wynnstay and given to Mr Barff with comments on the poor state of the books and papers stored there - 'The confusion of books & papers in the Tower is astonishing. The Bookes are spoiling. I suffer Mr Evans to take two Welsh manuscripts, upon vellum, very curious & valuable; in order that they might have a little air & fire. It would take six months to adjust that Tower. I would strongly recommend your getting some proper person to overlook that work & direct a proper adjustment' (incomplete).
